This is a first attempt to describe the “Tribe of Creators”-Project and we do it as simple as possible.
The basic idea of our overall project/the projects in particular is the foundation of a regional group, a so-to-speak inner circle, of human beings feeling responsable for their life, being open to share their skills and to cooperate.
This group meets several times a year to discuss their points of view, to talk about their experiences, to pass informations about ideas, projects and upcoming events. Each individual contributes time and energy on a non-profit-base.
These periodical meetings are used for self-help and networking, but also to find creative solutions for regional development concerning all sorts of matters of human living and environment.
Measurements for regional developments can be achieved in many different ways:
- with journalistic work
- with feedback to local institutions
- with the creation of working groups
- by inviting speakers so special themes
- by organizing seminars, conferences…
- by developing a (model) project
- by looking for recommendable models
- by doing other recherche
- by inviting a larger group of engaged human beings as a forum
- by starting a cooperation
- by networking with related projects
- by supporting local groups or initiatives
- and many more ways…
As soon as we start talking about one or the other measurement, it will be inevitable to face the financial aspect. What can still be done the easy way – with a letter, with an article… and what would require investments and cannot be realized without financial contributions.
For example, invitating a speaker talking about successful methods of permaculture would cost his/her travel expenses and more to covers his/her costs. Will the organizator be paid, too? And how? Seminars, of course, cannot be given for free – except all of us were financially independent and extremely bored… 🙂 However, social aspects should be taken into account.
These examples show that the financial conditions need to be spoken out clearly.
So this model is a mixed model based on as sort of idealistic kernel (circle) being something between a “think tank” and an idealistic regional forum surrounded by a larger outer circle including all sorts of ways to realize proposals/plans by means that can get along with the given social and economic situation.
Further more, if you have this description in mind graphically, we will add a larger third circle to this simple basic model. This third circle contains our ideas, dreams, visions, but also our knowledge, our contacts, our network…Â It symbolizes our potentials and connections and is an important part of the game.
Sounds easy? But it’s hard to realize. Why? That’s another story. But is it really worth spending a lot of words on it? We would rather keep focussed on our overall project…
